Q. Your Internet advertising rates seem almost too good to be true : are there any hidden catches to your advertising offers?

A. NO - none at all. What you see is what you pay. All prices quoted are yearly rates (not per month!) and your period of advertising runs from the date you create your first property record for one whole year. If you wish to pay in €uros or U$ dollars, we do make a small handling charge : this is the bank's foreign currency processing fee, which we pass on to you.

Q. Some Internet holiday accommodation web sites are charging literally hundreds of pounds to advertise holiday properties on a plethora of web sites. Surely, I'll get more bookings from these other sites?

A. Our owners tell us they have been very disappointed with the results from some of these web sites. Many owners have ploughed their entire advertising budget into these 'deals' with little or no response. We think £100 is the very most any owner should pay to put their property on one web site. There are 2 very good companies who charge about £97/£99 a year. We are happy to recommend both Holidaylets.net and Click4holidayhomes.com to our customers.

Q. I am already advertising with one of these companies, surely I don't need to add my property or properties to even more web sites?

A. Internet advertising is not that much different to conventional advertising : you do need to be seen by the people looking for your product or service. Search engine technology has changed dramatically over the last couple of years. Our web sites are all uniquely optimised for a variety of different search terms and phrases. Our niche market (or regional) web sites tend to pick up a lot of highly-focused traffic from holidaymakers looking to stay in those particular regions of France. If you have a holiday let in the Dordogne (for example), it does make sense to be on as many of our web sites that cover that département.

Q. I own several holiday properties in France. Do I get a special rate for these extra properties?

A. Yes, certainly you do. Once you have created one property record with us, you can add as many other properties as you wish for just £10 per year each. We are not aware of any other holiday Internet company matching this very attractive offer.

Q. Do all my properties need to be in the same region/ area of France?

A. No - they can be anywhere in France. Our system allows you to advertise one property in Brittany on one web site, and another property in Provence on other web sites. You have the same username and password to manage your properties, wherever they are situated.

Q. What does it cost if I want to add the same property to more One Step Ahead holiday property/ accommodation web sites?

A. Just £10 per property per web site per year. That's it! No catches, no strings. The choice is yours. If you later decide you would have liked your property added to other qualifying sites, just email us and we'll add them for you in a few minutes. Please tell us your property reference number and which additional sites you would like to be added to. We'll do it all for you and send you an electronic invoice for the extra cost (£10 per site).

Q. How do I get my enquiries from you?

A. By email directly from our servers. When you create a new property record, you must specify the email address where you wish the enquiries to be sent. This can be different for each property, and does not have to be same email address as the one you provide us with when you register. You can change your enquiries email address at any time simply by editing that property record. All changes are made in 'real time' (immediately).

Q. What is my email address used for?

A. Just to communicate with you and send you enquiries from holidaymakers.
We totally condemn all forms of spam. We do not trade, exchange or sell your email address with anyone.

Q. I want to change my photos on your web site. How do I do this?

A. Simply log in, go to 'My Properties' and click on 'PHOTOS'. You will see those photos that are currrently showing on the web site and will be able to change any or all of these in just a few seconds. There is helpful advice about how to do this on the web page.

Q. I'm not very good at forms on the Internet, can I send you all my details by email?

A. Yes, certainly. We can upload your property details for you but to keep our rates so competitive,
we do ask owners to build their ads online if possible - it's easy-peasy and most people prefer this.
